4-day program:

The workshop is group-based, so you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other learning beadmakers!

Important: the class will take place in English. I will be present to translate in French.

The program outlined below is for guidance only. The order of topics taught will be confirmed with the instructor at the beginning of the course.

  • Basics of borosilicate glass bead blowing
  • Blown beads with gold and silver fuming
  • Blown beads with gold and silver leaf
  • Blown beads with Electra-Tech and Lumina-Tech techniques
  • And other designs combining these techniques

Minimum required level

It is recommended to have at least 2-3 years of experience in glassworking.

The Atelier

We open our workshop doors weekly, to a maximum of 4 students simultaneously.

The class takes place at the private studio of Kathryn Greer, near Paris. It is very easy to access, being 5min walk from our RER C train station, in Saint-Michel-sur-Orge.

The teacher

Guido Adam lives and works in Zurich (Switzerland) and has been working with glass since 2002.

He is internationally recognised for innovative tools and lampworking techniques, including specialised hollow bead processes. His work is noted for its refined technical combinations and lifelike eye murrine canes, featured in animal sculptures and pendants.

His portfolio includes hollow and solid beads, marbles, sculptures, and two- and three-dimensional pendants, employing techniques such as inside-out, compression, implosion, cut’n flip, and lumina fuming.

An experienced international instructor, Guido teaches worldwide and has published in leading glass magazines.

He is actively involved with organisations including the ISGB, Bild-Werk Germany, and Murano, supporting and inspiring glass artists globally.
